With a background as a photographer, Carl-Oskar Linné’s artistic practice is rooted in the investigation into constructed sites, with a particular focus on the home. Works shift back and forth between a more overtly political position, such as when looking into the home as an instrument in the new market ideology, and at another level that is about the most private and personal regarding the home: loneliness, family relations and society’s pressure on the individual. None of the works exclusively belong in one of these places, rather it is central that these positions mingle just like in reality. Medias are varied, but text is central. Several works has taken its shape as signs. Linné also works photographically, with film and with reuse of quotes and slogans.
