Carl-Oskar Linné is a visual artist and photographer. His projects take sites and places as starting points. They build on research where he gathers texts, slogans, interviews, reports and statistics that are merged with his visual material. The works often take the shape of sculptural signs and housing is a recurring theme.
He is based in Stockholm and educated at Konstfack (SE), Royal Institute of Art (SE) and Bergen National Academy of the Arts (NO). Recent exhibition venues include ArkDes (SE), Färgfabriken (SE), Terminal B (NO), Babel (NO) and Fotogalleriet (NO). In 2018 - 2019, he assisted Trevor Paglen, as part of a grant from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee. In 2019 - 2020, he is the winner of the Institut Français research residency program at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris with the support of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the French Ministry of Culture and the Swedish Arts Grants Committee.
